The Smart Parts Ion Paintball Marker is an excellent choice for paintballers looking for a good decent paintball marker that will perform like a high end paintball gun without the big expensive price tag.

Being the first marker to deliver true electropneumatic performance in a casual paintball player's price range the Smart Ion Paintball Marker delivers.

What gets my attention on this paintball markers is that it is one of the few that are "less-than-$300 gun" that can actually shoot 17 balls per second. For me that says alot in a gun for this price range.

My only recommendation with the smart parts ion is that you really do need though to get a Co2 tank with this gun, without one you'll really not get the full enjoyment out of this marker. But outside of that the smart parts ion is a great marker in a price range for a gun that will pump out 17 balls a sec without a hiccup.

Pros and Cons to the Ion Paintball Gun

The best feature by far on this paintball gun is it's rate of fire. This thing is a speed demon! Crank up the rate of fire on the board all the way and turn on ramping, and this paintball gun will easily be firing at over 17 bps! Enough to make anyone call out mercy kill if you get within serious firing range.

If I had to rate the Ion on a scale of 1 to 10 for accuracy I would give this paintball gun a 9. The accuracy is very impressive on this marker. You can easily nail a very tight 5 round grouping on a tree or any target out at 30 yards, no problem.

If I had to mention on negative aspect about the ION marker which isn't really a negative it's more of something to remember. It's that you really need to turn down the regulator a couple notches when putting your air on or off, otherwise you risk blowing a solenoid.

So if you are looking for a serious tournament style paintball gun then the smart parts ion is one of the best paintball gear choices you can make. This paintball gun can compete with the higher end expensive models at a reasonable price with all the features you need, like amazing ROF (rate of fire) accuracy and durability then you really should consider the smart parts ion.
